T-Mobile Debuts GPS-Enabled Sidekick LX
T-Mobile today started taking preorders for its new Sidekick LX — not to be mistaken for the old Sidekick LX (no, we don’t understand their goofy branding either) — which has captured the hearts and minds of gadget bloggers all across the Interwebs. Why? It seems to have it all (almost) : integrated social networking app (one click access to MySpace, Facebook, and of course, Twitter), 3G, a big 3.2-inch screen, support for personal e-mail, IM, Bluetooth, and … wait for it … GPS.
GPS Trip-Sharing Site myGeoDiary Adds Features
MyGeoDiary says it has added new features to its social mapping site, including advanced activity-based search, community tags highlighting popular geo-social activities, and the ability to distinguish between private and community GPS track access, as well as an easier interface for users. Not familiar with myGeoDiary? It’s a free service that enables users to take the location data from their GPS device and, well, keep track of it, as well as share it with others.
