T-Mobile Debuts GPS-Enabled Sidekick LX

the latest Sidekick LXT-Mobile today started taking preorders for its new Sidekick LX — not to be mistaken for the old Sidekick LX (no, we don’t understand their goofy branding either) — which has captured the hearts and minds of gadget bloggers all across the Interwebs. Why? It seems to have it all (almost) : integrated social networking app (one click access to MySpace, Facebook, and of course, Twitter), 3G, a big 3.2-inch screen, support for personal e-mail, IM, Bluetooth, and … wait for it … GPS.

GPS Trip-Sharing Site myGeoDiary Adds Features

myGeoDiaryMyGeoDiary says it has added new features to its social mapping site, including advanced activity-based search, community tags highlighting popular geo-social activities, and the ability to distinguish between private and community GPS track access, as well as an easier interface for users. Not familiar with myGeoDiary? It’s a free service that enables users to take the location data from their GPS device and, well, keep track of it, as well as share it with others.

PocketTwit Integrates Location with your Twitters

pocketwitI can only speak for myself — no royal “we” here — but I will be dragged kicking and screaming into the microblogging revolution, if ever. However, if you’re a Twit fanboy/girl and use a Windows Mobile 6 device to post/get your twitters, then you should check out PocketTwit, a Twitter client that integrates location, including your phone’s GPS coordinates, into your twittering.
